Learn to float and manipulate paint to create patterns on paper and cloth. We will use a variety of natural pigments including indigo and some separated from clays collected in WNC.
Instructors Eileen Hallman and Pam Granger Gale will guide you in using historic and modern tools and techniques to float and manipulate paint.
We will discuss the preparation of paper and fabric for marbling and you will practice on prepared paper to create traditional or original patterns.
The finale of the class will be marbling a piece of cotton fabric suitable for numerous creative projects from book cloth, quilting, wall hanging.
