Monotype printmaking produces one-of-a-kind expressive affects and shapes.
Artists, makers, and dabblers in all media are invited to experience the creative discoveries that can only be produced by this intriguing printmaking technique. Everyone will produce a collection of personally expressive prints.
Participants will be guided through the through the exploration of various ways to develop successful compositions using alternative marking tools.
Students will “hand-pull” prints with Akua Kolor Intaglio inks using barrens and a pin press.
Students should come with several 8 x 10 inch black and white photos and/or drawings, a drawing pad larger than 6 x 8, pencil, eraser, apron and plastic gloves.
