Majik Studios is reopening to studio art classes with limited class size and time range in the next few weeks. We are acutely aware of the risks of hosting classes inside a building and are taking appropriate actions to make sure that our clients are safe while creating.
First, every person entering Majik for a class will need to wear a mask, even your instructor! Personal protective equipment like masks, gloves, and plastic aprons are available to all students.
Second, the work tables are spaced six feet apart, with needed supplies located within easy reach on table. You have your own private work space!
Next, we are concerned about indoor air quality. We have purchased and installed a room size air purification system with an ultra HEPA filter system. Indoor air can be 100 x more polluted than outdoor air. AirDoctor UltraHEPA unit filters out airborne particles as small as .003 microns in size which includes off gassing from furnishings, VOC’s, bacteria, and viruses. (Air Doctor has not been tested with coronavirus.) The air is exchanged three times an hour.
Next, we have an outside door which will be opened during class time to help bring in fresh air.
All of our instructors have taken a certification course through Count On Me NC (https://countonmenc.org/ ) for proper cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting procedures. The studio goes through a rigid cleaning protocol after each class. Each table top, chair, common surfaces like door handles, faucets, etc. are totally disinfected.
Reusable tools and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized and disinfected including commonly touched surfaces.
Finally, we have contactless payment systems in place, contactless email sign up forms, and evaluation forms are sent to your email following your class.
We here at Majik are diligent about these cleaning procedures and are genuinely concerned for your health and safety while at Majik. We have earned your trust over the last two year
