Log Cabin Quilt with a Modern Twist
Sara Hall and
Pam Granger Gale
February 13, 20, 27
2-4 pm each day
I was born and raised in New York City and have spent most of my life pursuing art. In college, it was printmaking and drawing that turned into a career in advertising after graduation. For awhile I worked in publishing on children’s books, then as a production artist for various magazines. Now, living in Asheville, I am a graphic designer for The Laurel of Asheville.
Since moving in 2015, I discovered a love for crafts, specifically quiltmaking. For the past 3 years I have been making hand-sewn quilts.
You are invited to participate in this collaborative class to learn marbling on fabric which you will use in a Log Cabin Style quilt.
The three sessions will guide you to create a beautiful, useful item for your home decor. You will marble on Feb. 13 and then create your quilt on the following two Thursdays!
Pam Granger Gale will instruct you in historic marbling patterns which you will practice on paper first. Then, she will help you create the pattern again on a larger scale for your fabric.
Sara Hall likes creating unique patterns, as well as giving her interpretation to traditional quilt patterns. Part of the fun is in mixing fabrics and patterns, and in this class, making your own fabrics will add a new twist!
All supplies are included in the class price of $180
