I have to confess why I have not posted in a long time. I traveled to Brasstown, NC to teach marbling at John C. Campbell Folk School for 5 days the last of July. Wow, what a whirlwind trip and experience that was! Eight delightful students came in ready to learn my favorite media!! We started on Monday and they blasted off with ideas galore!! One guy wanted to marble long silk scarves, so he invented a long tray out of two plastic tubs. Another student brought thin paper to marble as he is a bookbinder. A mother and daughter created prayer shawl with rectangular marbled color blocks. One student marbles a matching shirt and hat. We learned some simple books to make with our papers and traded sample papers with other class members for a memory book. Lots of fun crammed into FIVE days!
