So, early on in the trail, rocks in the many small tributary streams held finds of salamanders and caddis fly larvae – perfect for young kids to explore. Reaching the Cove Creek Waterfall, a fifty-foot beauty, was an easy hike for our young family. A group campground (Cove Creek Campground) is located nearby.
 
Marbling on this vintage map was such an honor. I selected colors to imitate a river and water falls nearby. The floating paint is frozen on the paper's surface.
